Sara Romero-Heaps has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Sara began their career in 2009 as an Admissions Associate in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Stanford University.

In 2009, they also co-founded the Hope Scholars Program-US, a college preparation and social entrepreneurship program for high school students in Samoa Michael township, and led its initial implementation.

Sara then transitioned to Aspire Public Schools in 2010, where they started as a Teacher Resident and co-taught 7th and 8th-grade Science at East Palo Alto Charter School while pursuing a Master's degree in Education and Single Subject (Science) Teaching Credential. Sara later became a Teacher and took on additional responsibilities as a Lead Teacher/School Leader, where they served as the Department Head of the Science Department and provided support and professional development for science teachers in the Aspire Bay Area Region. Sara also designed and facilitated New Teacher Training for new science teachers in the Aspire Network.

In 2015, Sara joined Nearpod as the Director of Content. Sara subsequently moved up to the position of Senior Director of Content Strategy and then became the Vice President of Product Strategy. Sara was responsible for overseeing product strategy and leading content-related initiatives for the company. Their tenure at Nearpod lasted until 2022.

In 2022, Sara joined Seesaw Learning as the Chief Education Officer. Later that year, they became the Chief Product Officer, a position they currently hold.

Sara Romero-Heaps has obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Biology with Honors in Education from Stanford University. Sara also holds an M.A. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific. In addition to their degrees, Sara has obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biological Sciences from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
