Brendan Smithyman is a highly experienced professional in the field of geophysics, currently serving as the Delivery and Reliability Architect and Lead Software Developer at Seequent since January 2016. Brendan has academic experience as an Adjunct Research Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Western University, contributing to research from September 2014 to June 2019. Prior to that, Brendan engaged in postdoctoral research and completed a PhD at The University of British Columbia, focusing on waveform tomography of land seismic data. Brendan's early research experience includes positions at Queen's University where waveform tomography analysis of seismic refraction data was conducted. Brendan holds a PhD in Geophysics from The University of British Columbia and a BSc in Geological Engineering from Queen's University.
