Owais Ahmad is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in disaster risk management and climate change adaptation. Currently working at Secours Islamique France, Owais focuses on reducing vulnerability through strategic implementation of GLOF hazard-oriented projects. Previously, as Climate Change Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator at the Centre for Disaster Risk and Climate, Owais developed disaster risk management plans and project proposals. Owais has held various roles in training and evaluation, including Training Officer for Disaster Risk Reduction at Aga Khan Agency for Habitat and Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant at Aga Khan Planning and Building Service. An early career as a Wildlife Researcher at Chitral Gol Community Development and Conservation Association involved assessing human-carnivore conflict. Owais holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
