Richard Carling is an experienced finance professional, currently serving as the Director of Finance & IT at Second Step since October 2019. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Director of Finance & Resources at Together for Short Lives from November 2009 to October 2019, and served as Director of Finance and Resources at TREE AID from 2007 to 2009. Richard's earlier career included roles as Business Manager, Management Accountant, and Internal Auditor at The National Autistic Society between 1999 and 2007, and as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen from 1994 to 1999. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the ICAEW.
