Matthew Loftus is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in accounting and financial management within the sports industry. Currently serving as Controller for the Seattle Kraken since April 2020, Matthew previously held the position of Director of Finance and Accounting Manager at the Nashville Predators from January 2016 to April 2020, overseeing critical financial processes such as month-end close, revenue recognition, and budget management. Earlier in their career, Matthew worked as an Accounting Coordinator for the Nashville Predators, where responsibilities included accounts payable processing and vendor communication. Additionally, Matthew gained substantial auditing experience as a Financial Services Senior Assurance Associate at EY, focusing on Registered Investment Companies and ensuring compliance with financial standards. Matthew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management, along with a minor in Sports Management from the David B.
