Matt S. began their work experience in 2016 as a Project Manager at Brown & Haley, where they worked until January 2019. In October 2019, they joined Seattle Chocolate Company as a Quality and Compliance Coordinator, a role they held until July 2022. During their time at Seattle Chocolate Company, they also served as the Manager of Scientific Affairs starting in July 2022.

Matt S. began their education in 2010 at Tacoma Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree and an Associate of Biology degree. Matt attended the institution until 2013. Afterward, Matt transferred to The Evergreen State College, where they spent the years 2013 to 2015 earning their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General.
