Abigail Owen

Software Engineer at SeatGeek

Abigail Owen has a diverse work experience. Abigail started their career as an Otolaryngology Department Intern at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2017. In 2018, they interned at Weill Cornell Medicine in the Department of Neurology, where they assisted Dr. Richard Isaacson with high school modules on Alzheimer's prevention. Abigail also worked as a Junior Tennis Academy Instructor at Bonnie Briar Country Club, Inc. from 2018 to 2020.

In 2019, Abigail co-founded and served as the President of Aces for Alzheimer's, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding Alzheimer's research. Abigail combined their love of tennis with their mission to stop the disease.

Abigail's internship experience continued in 2021. Abigail worked as a Research Intern at Pinboard, where they gained valuable research skills. Abigail then joined Plandek as a Data Science Intern, where they worked on data analysis, model building, and insight technology. Abigail created graphical visualizations, presented statistical modeling research, and generated algorithms for forecasting user data.

In 2022, Abigail worked as a Back End Developer Intern at IBM, gaining experience in backend development. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at SeatGeek, starting in 2023.

Abigail Owen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science at Dartmouth College from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, they attended Mamaroneck High School from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, in 2018, they participated in the New England Young Writers’ Conference (NEYWC) where they focused on Creative Writing.
