John Govier's work experience is as follows:

- From 2016, they worked at Seasalt as the Chief People Officer.

- From 2006 to 2016, they worked at Screwfix Direct as the HR Manager, leading a team of 10 regional HR professionals and overseeing all activities within the Trade Counter HR function.

- From 2001 to 2006, they worked at MVC Entertainment Ltd as the HR Manager, responsible for all HR matters across the organization.

- From 1997 to 2001, they worked at MVC Entertainment Ltd as the Area Risk & Audit Manager and Branch Manager, responsible for loss control, budget management, sales, service, staff, and stock control in a busy retail environment.

John Govier completed a Post Grad degree in Business & Executive Coaching at Leeds Beckett University from 2007 to 2008.
