Usman Altafullah, CAP has held various positions in the IT and cybersecurity fields since 2005. In 2007, they worked as a Game Modification Lead Instructor for iD Tech Camps. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Canvasser for Working America and as a Junior Security Engineer for Lunarline, Inc. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Junior Information System Security Officer for Knowledge Consulting Group. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Manager and Senior Consultant for MBL Technologies Inc. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Cyber Security Compliance Lead for General Dynamics Information Technology and as an IA Compliance Lead for Zachary Piper Solutions. Currently, they are a Senior RMF / Compliance Lead for Sealing Technologies Inc., supporting the Joint Program Office and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and the Army National Guard (ARNG) with RMF / Compliance objectives.

Usman Altafullah obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from Virginia Commonwealth University between 2005 and 2010. In 2011, they obtained an INFOSEC NSTISSI certification from CNSS in June and a Security+ certification from CompTIA in May. In 2021, they obtained a Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification from ISC2 in August.
