Praveen Viraraghavan is a seasoned technologist with extensive experience in the storage and data center technology sectors. Currently serving as a Technologist in the Office of the CTO at Seagate Technology, Praveen is responsible for defining data center strategies and advising on enterprise software development. Prior to Seagate, Praveen held key roles at IBM, including Senior Technical Staff Member (STSM) and IBM Master Inventor, where responsibilities encompassed hardware architecture and roadmap leadership for Cloud Object Storage. Previous positions include Storage Architect at Cleversafe, and various leadership roles at Western Digital, overseeing SSD architecture and enterprise systems. Praveen began a career in engineering at LSI Corporation and Western Digital, focusing on hard disk controller architecture and ASIC design. Praveen earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
