James Westergard is an accomplished professional in the fields of marine biology and performance management. Currently serving as an Apprentice Trainer at Sea Life Park Hawai'i since October 2022, James previously contributed to the performing arts as a Stage Manager for the production "Follow The Light" at Brigham Young University - Hawaii, where responsibilities included set design, actor supervision, and stagehand management. Earlier experience as a Research Assistant involved working under Dr. Esprit Saucier on coral reef research, focusing on developing a collector for coral gametes. James also has a background in catering, customer service, and missionary work, with formal education culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Brigham Young University - Hawaii.
