Monica Tocchi, MD, PhD, is a highly experienced medical professional, currently serving as the Working Group Leader for the HEU-EFS project at SDA Bocconi, focusing on advancing Early Feasibility Study (EFS) methodology. As the Chief Medical Officer and Founder of Meditrial Europe since 2008, Tocchi has established the company as a leading provider of clinical trial services and electronic data capture solutions for the medical device industry. Additionally, Tocchi acts as a Technical Expert for the UNI Ente Nazionale di Unificazione, contributing expertise in European and US regulations to the International Standardization Organization for clinical trials and medical devices. Previous roles include Medical Director at Donawa Lifescience Consulting and Cardiologist at Ospedale San Raffaele, along with a tenure as Visiting Professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Education includes a PhD in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, a Fellowship in Cardiology, and an MD in Cardiovascular Science from Sapienza Università di Roma.
