Tara Holcomb is an experienced philanthropy executive with a strong track record in major gifts and fundraising management. Currently serving as Executive Director of Philanthropy at Scripps Research since September 2018, Tara oversees the Regional Giving program and manages a portfolio of major gift prospects. Prior to this role, Tara held significant positions, including Senior Director of Philanthropy at Scripps Research, Director of Major Gifts at Jupiter Medical Center, and Director of Development & Public Relations at The Salvation Army. With a foundation in fundraising programs and community engagement, Tara's career began in development coordination at West Virginia University Hospitals, building expertise in donor relations and campaign management. Tara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from West Virginia University.
