Margaret Hellwarth is an experienced professional in international services, currently serving as the Director of the International Services Office at Scripps Research since June 2015. In this role, Margaret oversees immigration services for international visitors, faculty, researchers, and students in California and Florida. Prior to this position, Margaret held various roles at the University of California, Davis, including Sr. International Services Manager and Assistant Director for Services for International Students and Scholars, where responsibilities included managing a team and advising approximately 2000 international scholars annually. Margaret's career in immigration services began with positions at Truckee Meadows Community College, the University of Nevada, Reno, Georgetown University, and the University of California, Berkeley. Margaret holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs and Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by education from Universitat de Barcelona.
