Melissa Gilmore has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Melissa started their career in 2012 as a Sales Representative at Vector Marketing. In 2013, they became an Assistant Manager/Field Sales Manager and later a Branch Manager. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Intern at Rebel Well, focusing on health promotion in the workplace.

From 2015 to 2016, they also served as a Game Day Operations/Skybox Suite Attendant at Ole Miss Athletics Guest Services and as a Health & Wellness Promoter & Marketing Student Worker at the Mississippi Small Business Development Center.

In 2016, Melissa joined Orangetheory Fitness, where they held various positions including Associate, District Manager, and Studio Manager. Melissa was responsible for sales and operational budgets, staff management, training, customer service, and studio operations.

In 2019, they joined Scout & Cellar as an Associate Manager, responsible for sourcing clean crafted wines from vineyards worldwide. In 2020, Melissa became the Owner of KC Dawgz Dog Training Academy. Their most recent role is as an Area Developer at KidStrong, starting in 2021.

Melissa Gilmore completed their high school education at Saint Charles High School from 2008 to 2012, earning a high school diploma. Melissa then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Mississippi from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Melissa holds a certification in First Aid/CPR, although the institution and specific date of obtaining this certification are unknown.
