Mattias Jans is a skilled engineer specializing in maintenance and reliability within the electrical field, currently employed at SCK CEN since May 2019 as both a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer and Project Engineer for Electricity. Previously, Mattias served as a Maintenance Engineer E&I at Tessenderlo Kerley International, where responsibilities included managing and renewing high and low voltage grids, executing exceptional maintenance works, and developing preventive maintenance plans. Mattias has extensive experience at Infrabel, focusing on mobile applications for maintenance, SAP PM integration, and condition-based maintenance of electrical equipment. Early career experiences include roles as an electrical engineer at Clausohm Automation Belgium and Kautex Textron Belgium during traineeships. Mattias holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electricity from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, obtained in 2008 and 2006, respectively.
