Micaela Fisher is an experienced Speech Language Pathologist and owner of Smiling Star Speech & Language LLC since January 2004, leveraging a background as a television news anchor and medical reporter to pursue a career focused on communication and children. Fisher has served as an adjunct professor at Elmhurst College and an adjunct faculty instructor at Midwestern University and the College of DuPage, teaching and supervising graduate speech-language pathology students. Additionally, Fisher works with the Interactive Metronome and Scientific Learning to provide programs that enhance cognitive skills related to communication and reading. Previous roles include serving as a speech language pathologist at various healthcare institutions and participating in the Illinois Early Intervention Program. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Boston College and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Xavier University.
