Danny Kumpf is a seasoned software engineer and scientist with extensive experience in high-tech environments. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and Staff Scientist at SciTec, Inc. since November 2019, Kumpf previously held the position of Systems Engineer at Moog Inc. from June 2018 to November 2019. An internship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2017 involved evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) telescope mounts for optical communications. Kumpf also demonstrated leadership as the Team Lead of the Cornell Rocketry Team, achieving third place in the 2017 NASA Student Launch competition. Educationally, Kumpf holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Cornell University, earned in 2018.
