Tara Kane, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Dean of Public Safety Programs at Schoolcraft College since February 2024. Prior to this role, Tara Kane held various positions at Madonna University, including Dean of the School of Business and Associate Dean, as well as serving as Department Chair for Criminal Justice. Tara Kane's experience also includes significant contributions as a Law Enforcement Trainer with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, specializing in training interdisciplinary teams on domestic violence and sexual assault investigations. A former Detective Sergeant with the West Bloomfield Police Department, Tara Kane holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Eastern Michigan University, a Master's in Business Administration from Madonna University, and has completed the Police School of Staff and Command at Michigan State University. Passionate about ending violence against vulnerable populations, Tara Kane focuses particularly on advocating for women's safety.
