John Buscaglia began their work experience at Fleet Street Pictures in 1990 as an Editor and remained in that role until 1996. John then joined Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) in 1997 as an Editor and worked there until 2004. In 2004, they moved to McCann Worldgroup as a Senior Video Editor and held that position until 2010. Since 2010, they have been working at School of Thought, where they started as a Senior Video Editor and eventually became the Head of Production.

John Buscaglia attended the University of San Francisco from 1985 to 1988, where they studied Physics & Computer Science. John then enrolled at San Francisco State University from 1988 to 1990, where they pursued Broadcast Communication Arts/Post Production. No degrees were specified for either educational experience.
