Calvin Forbes serves as Professor Emeritus at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a position held since September 1991, and previously held a faculty role at The Art Institute of Chicago. With expertise in creative writing, specifically fiction and poetry, as well as Jazz Blues Aesthetics, Forbes integrates American music with history and culture into the curriculum. Educational credentials include studies at the New School for Social Research, Brown University, and Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
