Sara Shives is a seasoned event and production professional with extensive experience in the arts and entertainment industry. As a Senior Event Producer at Minnesota Public Radio since July 2022, Sara has continued a career that includes producing notable events such as the Super Bowl Live and the Vikings Halftime Show. With a background that includes roles as Director of Production at IMC and Production Manager at Walker Art Center, Sara has also contributed to major international ceremonies, including the Sochi Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Education includes a Bachelor's degree with honors in Anthropology from Grinnell College, attained in 1997. Prior roles include significant contributions at Blue Man Productions, where responsibilities spanned from Associate Director to Training Director, showcasing a deep-rooted expertise in performance and production management.
