Matthew S. Weiler

Mr. Weiler has more than fifteen years’ experience litigating antitrust, qui tam, and securities matters in California state court and federal courts across the U.S. At Schneider Wallace Cottrell Konecky (SWCK), Mr. Weiler represents firm clients in pursuing claims related to price fixing of generic drug, and other anticompetitive practices in the health care industry that harm health care providers. Mr. Weiler is also pursuing claims on behalf of crypto currency purchasers for antitrust claims and other violations of law related to market manipulation, where SWCK has been appointed interim co-lead counsel.

Prior to joining SWCK, Mr. Weiler was an integral member of the team that collected $399 million in settlements for California purchasers of the drug Cipro, one of the largest cash settlements ever achieved under California antitrust law. Mr. Weiler also helped obtain over $200 million in settlements on behalf of direct purchasers of capacitors from members of an international price-fixing cartel; pursued monopolization claims against the United Fighting Championship under Section 2 of the Sherman Act; and represented a certified class of purchasers of disposable contact lenses in challenging uniform pricing policies under antitrust laws.

Mr. Weiler also has expertise in securities litigation, and has experience representing investors in pursuing violations of state and federal securities laws.
