Victor R. Caivano is a seasoned visual journalist with extensive experience in video and photojournalism. Currently serving as a Senior Producer for the Southern Cone at The Associated Press since October 2014, Victor oversees video production across Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay, and previously held the role of News Director for the region. With a tenure at National Geographic as a member of the Board of Advisors since April 2018, guidance on grant-making strategy and execution is provided. Victor's earlier career at The Associated Press included roles as a photojournalist and Chief Photographer for Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. An alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, Victor holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree in Photojournalism.
