Heather Luth has extensive experience in the field of senior care and recreational programming. Heather worked at Schlegel Villages from 2001 to the present, holding various roles including Director of Dementia Services and Knowledge Integration, recreation director, and Volunteer Director. In these positions, Heather was responsible for developing and implementing innovative programming that addressed the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents. Additionally, they worked at Sheridan College from 1994 to 1997 as an Instructor, where they focused on curriculum development and teaching the importance of leisure for older adults in the Social Service Worker Gerontology program.
Heather Luth attended McMaster University from 1989 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Gerontology and Sociology. Their focus of study during that time was primarily on Gerontology. Later, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Gerontology at McMaster University.
