Veerle Slootmans has extensive experience in cultural management and project leadership, currently serving as Project Lead for Cultural Activities at Schaerbeek since November 2020. Previous roles include Docent for Nederlands voor anderstaligen at CVO Lethas, and Project Manager for Schools for Clean Air at Greenpeace Belgium, where international project management skills were utilized. Additionally, experience at Greenpeace included supporting the Citizen Initiative Filter Café, focusing on communication and stakeholder engagement. Veerle has held various managerial positions at Sabam, overseeing customer service and international rights, while earlier work involved coordinating a Renaissance Music festival at Resonant. Veerle holds degrees in Musicology from KU Leuven and Universidad de Salamanca.
