Angel Bourdon

Director, Community Health & Innovation at South Carolina Hospital Association

Angel Bourdon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations. At the South Carolina Hospital Association, they started as a Program Coordinator for AccessHealth SC, where they partnered with stakeholders to develop healthcare networks for the uninsured. Angel then became a Special Projects Coordinator for the CEO's Office, focusing on operational improvement initiatives and collaboration initiatives with partners. Angel later worked at Palmetto Health as an IT Strategic Programs Manager, overseeing strategic planning and research proposals. Angel then transitioned to Manager of Community Programs, where they led the development and implementation of the health system's Community Health Needs Assessment/Action Plan. Additionally, they designed and implemented the Palmetto Health School-Based Telehealth program. Currently, Angel holds the position of Innovation Manager at the South Carolina Hospital Association, where they are responsible for driving community health and innovation.

Angel Bourdon earned a BA degree in Communication and Business from Columbia College (SC) between 2002 and 2006. Later, from 2010 to 2012, Angel pursued an MA degree in Health Care Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition to these degrees, Angel also obtained a certification in the Basic Level of the IHI Open School from the IHI in July 2011.
