Filippo Lo Blanco is a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer at SBM Offshore, with experience spanning from December 2013 to the present. Key contributions include serving as the lead mechanical engineer for several floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) projects such as Almirante Tamandarè, Mero 4, Mero 3, and Carcará, alongside executing the Liza Destiny EPC phase. Prior to SBM Offshore, Filippo worked as an Equipment and Machinery Engineer at Tecnomare, focusing on cathodic protection system design and mechanical design for offshore projects. Previous experience also includes a role as a Mechanical Engineer at Carlo Gavazzi Space, where involvement in the European Space Agency VEGA launcher project included piping detail design. Filippo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II and completed a professional continuing education course at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in Oil & Gas Plants Design.
