Karina Hansen has extensive experience in compliance, governance, and regulatory affairs, currently serving as Group Compliance COO and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Saxo since September 2021, where responsibilities also include Global Head of Compliance Risk and Governance and Head of Governance and Framework. Prior roles include Head of Legal, Compliance, Executive Management, and Communication at PBU - Pædagogernes Pension, and Head of Regulatory Affairs and Secretary to the Board at Saxo Bank A/S. Karina has held significant positions at Nordea and Finanstilsynet, overseeing anti-money laundering, payment services, and regulatory compliance, and has served in international roles such as an assessor for FATF. Educational qualifications include a Master in Law and a Legal Bachelor from the University of Copenhagen.
