Akshay Sivananda currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Saviynt since March 2023. Prior to this role, Akshay was the Executive Director and Global Head of Cybersecurity Operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb from December 2018 to April 2023, overseeing Security Operations and Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, and other key areas. Akshay had a significant tenure at Capital One as the Senior Director and Divisional CISO for the US Card and Small Business divisions from March 2016 to December 2018. Earlier experience includes leading the Application Security team at Fannie Mae and holding various information technology positions from 2001 to 2009. Akshay holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore University.
