Drake Carey has extensive work experience in the food and beverage industry. Drake started their career as a Bar Manager/Wine Director at Black and White in 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Food and Beverage Supervisor Intern at Aramark before taking on the role of Food and Beverage Coordinator Intern at IWSC Group. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Food and Beverage Manager at Omni La Mansión del Rio/Mokara Hotel & Spa/Omni Riverfront. In 2020, they were the Operations Manager at House of Blues. Drake then became the General Manager at Underbelly Hospitality in 2021 before joining Satterfield & Pontikes Construction as a Project Engineer in 2022.
Drake Carey attended the University of Houston from 2016 to 2018, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. Prior to that, they enrolled at Houston Community College, where they studied Mathematics and Natural Sciences to obtain an Associate of Science degree. In addition, Drake has received a Level 2 Sommelier certification from the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) in September 2020.
