Moira was born in Gallup, New Mexico, and has lived in Santa Fe for over a decade. She is a practicing visual artist and graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts and holds a MA in Latin American Studies with concentrations in Latin American Art History and Indigenous Studies from the University of New Mexico. Moira has worked as a visiting artist in the Santa Fe and Espanola Public Schools, as a Spanish language instructor, and as a museum researcher at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology. She also helps to facilitate international partnerships and exchange programs at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.
