Steve Richards has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles in various companies. Steve is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Sapphire Technologies since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Rolls-Royce for multiple years. From 2016 to 2022, they held the position of President & General Manager - Rolls-Royce HTC and from 2013 to 2016, they worked as the VP Engineering Operations. Before joining Rolls-Royce, they worked at Rolls-Royce Norway as the VP Engineering Operations from 2013 to 2016. From 2011 to 2013, they served as an Engineering Executive at Rolls-Royce North America. Steve started their career at Rolls-Royce in 1992 as a Performance Engineer - WR21 and worked there until 1998.

Steve Richards completed their education with a Masters in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge, where they attended from 1986 to 1989. Steve further pursued their studies and obtained an MBA degree in Business from The Open University, where they studied from 2003 to 2006.
