Nicolas Vanderbiest

Nicolas Vanderbiest has a diverse work experience in various fields. In 2017, they founded a strategic intelligence agency called Saper Vedere, specializing in social media analysis and crisis communication. Nicolas joined the agency full-time in 2018, overseeing operations and managing a team. Nicolas advises clients such as major companies, institutions, and NGOs on audience engagement, ecosystems, and public affairs, communication, and marketing strategies.

In 2019, Nicolas became an expert for the "PACTESUR" project, contributing to the promotion and implementation of urban security strategies in cities such as Nice, Turin, and Liège. Nicolas also works with the European Economic and Social Committee as an expert on combatting disinformation during the COVID-19 crisis.

Nicolas has had roles as a TV columnist for RTBF from 2015 to 2018 and as an academic assistant at the Université catholique de Louvain from 2014 to 2018, where they taught various courses and supervised master's internships. Nicolas was also responsible for organizing internal seminars and managing online communication at Lasco, a communication systems analysis lab, from 2014 to 2017.

In addition, Nicolas has worked as a columnist for France Culture, a social media strategist at Cambio, a freelance social media analyst at Agence Wellcom, and a strategic planner intern at Lielens in 2013. Their expertise spans areas such as crisis communication, social media, strategic planning, and combatting disinformation.

Nicolas Vanderbiest began their education in 2000 at Athénée Emile Bockstael, where they studied Latin-Science until 2006. After completing their secondary education, they attended Université libre de Bruxelles from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication. Nicolas then pursued a Master's degree in Business/Corporate Communications at the same university from 2011 to 2013. Following their Master's degree, Nicolas Vanderbiest continued their education at Université catholique de Louvain from 2013 to 2019, where they worked as a Doctorant in the Laboratoire d'Analyse des Systèmes de Communication des Organisations.
