Romain Trachel, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning and neuroscience with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Winking Studios, Romain has previously held key positions including Principal Machine Learning Specialist at FISHLABS GmbH and Eidos-Sherbrooke, as well as Senior Machine Learning Specialist at Eidos-Montréal. Romain's expertise encompasses emotion detection, reinforcement learning for game testing, and contributions to AI projects in art and VR. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Université Côte d'Azur and a Master of Science from Aix-Marseille University, complemented by a Master of Engineering in industrial engineering and computer science from Polytech Marseille.
