Frans Marais is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and technical leadership across various sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and manufacturing. Currently serving as Development Lead and Project Manager at Santos Ltd since May 2022, Frans previously held senior roles at Verbrec Ltd and GVTEC, managing teams and overseeing diverse projects from design to execution. Notable past positions include Senior Project Engineer at Oil Search Limited, where Frans contributed to major projects like the PNG LNG Project, and Senior Study Manager at Taggart Global Australia, leading pre-feasibility studies. Frans holds a B Eng in Mechanical Engineering and a B Eng (Hons) in Structural Mechanics from Stellenbosch University and the University of Pretoria, as well as a B PhysT in Physiotherapy.
