Corey Nelson is an experienced educator and coach currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor in Kinesiology, Athletics, and Dance at Santa Rosa Junior College since July 2022, alongside roles as an Assistant Coach for both the SRJC Football and Track & Field teams. Nelson also holds the position of Head Track & Field Coach at Petaluma City Schools and serves as a USATF Official for the Pacific Association. Additionally, ownership of the West Coast Striders Track Club reflects a commitment to training athletes of all ages in Northern California and Southeast Arizona. Previous positions include teaching biology at Maricopa Unified School District and various coaching roles at the high school and community college levels. A former professional athlete in both the National Football League as a Wide Receiver and Kick Returner, and as a Sprinter with USA Track & Field, Nelson's athletic background is complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Boise State University.
