Lauren Fein has an extensive work history and diverse experience in various roles and industries. Lauren has recently been appointed as the Director of Behavioral Health at the Santa Cruz County Office of Education. Prior to this, they worked at the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency (HSA) from 2012 to 2023, where they held several positions such as County Behavioral Health Program Manager, Children's Behavioral Health Program Manager, and Children's Behavioral Health Supervisor. Before joining the public sector, they worked at NBC Sports in different periods, including serving as a Supervisor for Digital Features & Highlights during the Olympics. Additionally, they worked as a Counselor at the Family Services Agency of the Central Coast and held editing and producing roles at DejaVu Video Services. Their early career includes experience as a Preditor at NBC Olympics. Overall, Lauren Fein has a diversified background with a focus on behavioral health, program management, and media production.
Lauren Fein obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Tulane University between 1996 and 2000. Lauren later pursued a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy supervision from the Board of Behavioral Sciences in October 2015.
