Marie Hebert is an experienced violinist and educator with a comprehensive background in teaching and performance. Since October 2014, Marie has served as a Teaching Artist and Youth Ensembles Personnel Manager at the Santa Barbara Symphony, focusing on instructing 4th to 6th graders in violin and viola while also managing youth orchestra rehearsals. Additionally, Marie plays violin for the Folk Orchestra of Santa Barbara and the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society, contributing to a diverse range of musical styles. Freelance work includes teaching and performing at weddings since 2009. As a Teaching Artist with Santa Barbara Strings, Marie coaches chamber music and assists with orchestral activities. Marie's past experience includes roles in various orchestras and as a section violinist, alongside an impressive educational background with degrees in Violin Performance from UC Santa Barbara and participation in the Montecito International Music Festival.
