René Geevers is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture and IT management. Currently serving as a Cloud Architect at Sanoma Learning since October 2022, René focuses on optimizing and securing cloud operations. As a long-time member of the FinOps Foundation since August 2014 and the founder of PowerBall Nederland B.V. since August 1999, René has demonstrated entrepreneurial and innovative skills, particularly in automating customer service processes. Previous roles include Service Manager Cloud at Sanoma from 2014 to 2022, where René transformed architecture toward a DevSecOps model, and various managerial positions at Microbais, Lost Boys, and D-reizen, showcasing expertise in IT infrastructure, hosting services, and application engineering. Educational background includes ICT Management from IIR, studies at The Hague University, and at Abstede College.
