Martijn van Strien currently serves as Finance Director for Belgium and The Netherlands at Sanoma Learning, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Martijn held various finance leadership positions, including Manager Finance, Planning & IT at Stromma Netherlands from November 2021 to April 2024, and was also a finance director with a focus on strategy and analytics during a period of consultancy from July 2020 to November 2021. Martijn took a sabbatical from December 2019 to June 2020 for travel. From April 2006 to November 2019, Martijn was Finance Director at Thomas Cook Nederland, having also served as Manager Planning & Control/Treasury and Manager Planning & Control during the tenure. Earlier career experience includes working as a Controller at Thomas Cook and TUI Nederland. Martijn holds a Master’s degree in Bedrijfseconomie from the University of Groningen and has studied at Universitat de Barcelona.
