Sushmita Lahiri currently serves as Associate Vice President and Global Project Head at Sanofi, spearheading cross-functional teams to develop research and development plans for the Vaccines portfolio. Previously, Sushmita held the position of Global Head of the Antibacterial Domain at Johnson & Johnson, leading international teams to innovate therapeutic agents in respiratory disease. Experience as External Innovation Leader at Boehringer Ingelheim involved establishing research collaborations in the Boston area, focusing on various therapeutic modalities. During tenure at Macrolide Pharmaceuticals, Sushmita contributed as Executive Director of Biology and previously as Director of Biology, building labs and leading drug candidate development. An extensive background at AstraZeneca included roles as Project Leader and Principal Scientist, emphasizing drug delivery for life-threatening infections. Sushmita earned a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Boston University School of Medicine.
