Martín Marín has over 30 years of work experience in operations, quality, and management roles. Martín started their career in 1987 as a Process Engineer at Motorola de México and then moved on to work as a Quality Manager at Kodak de México. In 2003, they joined Sanmina-SCI as an Operations and Quality Regional Director, a position they held until 2009. Martín then joined Flextronics in 2011 as a Plant Manager before returning to Sanmina in 2012 as an Operations Regional Director.

Martín Marín obtained a Lean Systems Certification from the University of Kentucky in 2008. Prior to that, they earned an MBA in Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 1994 and 1997. In 1993, they completed a diploma in Total Quality Control at Universidad de Guadalajara. Martín Marín's undergraduate degree was in Communications and Electronic Engineering, which they pursued from 1982 to 1987 at Universidad de Guadalajara.
