Thembisa Skweyiya is an accomplished board member with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as a Board Member and Board Committee Chair at Woolworths since March 2019, as well as a Board Member at Sanlam since October 2022, Skweyiya has held several significant roles in leading organizations. Previously, positions included Board Member and Board Committee Chair at Liberty Group South Africa, Rothschild & Co, Sumitomo Rubber South Africa, and IMPERIAL Retail Logistics, along with advisory roles in non-profit organizations like FoodForward SA. Additionally, Skweyiya leads Skweyiya Investment Holdings, a family-owned investment company, playing a key role in investment strategies. Scholarly achievements include a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and various law degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the University of the Witwatersrand.
