Maria Gutierrez is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as a Behavioral Health Counselor in the BeWell Program at Sanitas Medical Center since August 2021. Prior to this role, Maria worked as an Adoption Specialist at Children's Home Society of Florida from January 2018 to May 2021, and as a Social Worker at Cleveland Clinic for a brief period in 2020. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Dependency Case Manager at Devereux CBC from January 2015 to December 2017 and as Assistant Manager at Pelican Dental Care from September 2010 to October 2014. Maria began a professional journey through a VISTA Volunteer position at Literacy Services of Indian River County from August 2009 to September 2010. Academic accomplishments include a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Central Florida (2016-2019) and a degree in Human Services with a focus on Youth and Family from Indian River State College (2009-2013).
