Yu Fei (Sophie) Hao is a Doctoral Student at Sanford Burnham Prebys, focusing on research related to liver development and regeneration since September 2022. Previously, as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine from November 2020 to June 2022, Yu Fei studied the role of PTP4A1 and its interaction with SRC in systemic sclerosis, while also participating in lab journal clubs to present and analyze peer-reviewed articles on tyrosine phosphatases. Additionally, Yu Fei served as a Triton Health Ambassador at UC San Diego from September 2020 to June 2022, contributing to COVID-19 testing efforts and enforcing health guidelines on campus. Yu Fei holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and Human Development and Family Studies from UC San Diego, earned in June 2022.
