Alessandra (Lale) Cecchini is a skilled researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Associate at Sanford Burnham Prebys since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia from October 2017 to April 2023. Additionally, Alessandra has gained international experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Leicester and Università di Pisa in 2015, and as a Postgraduate Researcher at Scuola Normale Superiore in 2013. Alessandra holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Dundee (2014-2017), a Master's degree in Biotechnology/Biophysics from Università di Pisa (2010-2013), and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry from Università degli Studi di Firenze (2006-2009), complemented by a high school diploma in mathematical, physical, and natural sciences from Liceo Scientifico (2001-2006).
