Virginia Smith Volpe possesses a diverse professional background with experience in both education and finance. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District since October 2022, Virginia is also actively involved as a volunteer with San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance and Hays County Food Bank, roles held since June 2022 and May 2022, respectively. Previously, Virginia had a notable career at Citi from 1998 to 2016, ultimately holding the position of NA Head of Client Services for the Global Investor Services Division. Other significant roles included Managing Director at SS&C Technologies and Fixed Income Analyst at Thomson Reuters. Virginia's academic credentials include a Master's degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, and English from Austin College.
