Rene Gutierrez serves as the Senior Regional Initiatives Coordinator for the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission, overseeing the marketing department and managing goals related to stakeholder engagement and community outreach since April 2018. Previously, Rene held the position of Associate Planner, where responsibilities included transit planning and advocacy efforts for various transportation services. Additionally, Rene is a Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Merced County and served as President and Vice President of the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, focusing on economic development and strategic planning. A former Agency Operator at Avis, Rene established an S Corporation that significantly increased revenue across multiple locations. Rene holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from California State University, Stanislaus.
