Asa King currently serves as the Manager of the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the City and County of San Francisco's Human Services Agency, a position held since August 2018. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Human Resources Analyst and EEO Investigator for a U.S. Government Contractor, along with legal positions as a Staff Attorney at the Transgender Law Center and Assistant Public Defender in Mecklenburg County. Asa also worked as a Research and Writing Attorney for the Federal Public Defender early in the career. Asa holds a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Government from Cornell University.
